The 3rd International Symposium for Materials R&D Data

This symposium aims to facilitate global collaboration in large-scale materials research data by employing harmonized terminologies and schema aligned with the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles for materials R&D data. Building on the successes of previous symposia held in 2022 at KINTEX, Korea, and in 2023 in Wiesbaden, Germany, the third symposium will take place in Jeju Island, Korea, with the focus on establishing consortia for FAIR R&D data in materials science.

We will address current barriers to data sharing, considering not only terminologies but also optimized data structures for efficient data-driven materials design and analytics. Furthermore, practical aspects of data sharing across various sub-disciplines of materials science will be extensively discussed, aiming to advance global data sharing efforts.
